Day 1: Jkia – Nairobi Hotel
Arrive in Nairobi and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax after your flight. Overnight at Southern Sun Mayfair. B.B
Day 2: Nairobi – Masai Mara
Depart and drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s finest and best-known game reserve, arriving for lunch at your Camp. Sarova Mara Game Camp has 75 tents and is located in the world-renowned Masai Mara; home to the greatest game show on earth – the Wildebeest Migration
Afternoon game viewing drive in this Kenyan finest Park, here in Mara you are likely to spot the animals in their natural element; a lion’s roar, a cheetah making a kill, and the big elephant herds are all very fascinating events. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Mara Camp. B.L.D
Day 3: Masai Mara Reserve
Optional – Hot Air Balloon ride and mid-day visit to the Local Village
The BALLOON SAFARI adventure begins in the pre-dawn hours. The magnificent view of the park is thrilling. Towards the end of the safari, you rise to a height of 1500 feet for a panoramic view of the twisting Mara River and the savanna below. After an hour or so in the air, your safari finishes with a flourish: a champagne breakfast in the bush, cooked on the balloon’s burners. Full days in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives provided – option of leaving with picnic lunches for a full day game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Mara Camp. B.L.D
Day 4: Mara – Elementaita
After breakfast and clearance of bills if any, check out, depart have an en-route game drive back to main gate and drive to Nakuru National Park, check in and lunch. Nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. A short two-hour drive from Nairobi, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is a favorite with residents and visitors to Kenya, is cleverly laid out in such a way that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the lake and the park. The Lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways and greens dotted with bird feeds. The Lodge is a natural haven for bird life and attracts over 50 species of birds amongst the 400 species that inhabit the Park. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. B.L.D
Day 5: Lake Nakuru
Full day in Nakuru with morning and afternoon game drives provided. Lake Nakuru is renowned for large concentrations of flamingos and is also a sanctuary for the endangered black and white rhinos. This reserve has one of the highest densities of wildlife to be found on the continent and our chance of spotting lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and buffalo is excellent during an afternoon game drive. Day 6: Nakuru – Uganda
Breakfast at your Lodge depart and drive to Nakuru Town to wait for Nairobi – Kampala bus (Cost to be provided closer to travel date). The bus departs at around 9:00 PM at night and you will arrive in Uganda early morning the following day. Optional: A flight from Nairobi to Uganda can be arranged upon request.
Day 7: Arrival –Transfer to your hotel
Our guide will meet you at Kampala Bus station or Entebbe international airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe .B.B
Day 8: Rest Day
This day we shall give you a free day to relax after a long overnight bus from Nairobi to Kampala. If possible take a short city tour and later relax at your hotel for the rest of the day. Dinner and Overnight at Cassia Lodge Kampala- BB
Day 9: Kampala-Bwindi (9Hrs)
An early morning start from Kampala takes you southwest and across the Equator. You drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery. Drive to Bwindi arriving late in the evening. Check in your hotel for Dinner and Overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge. B.L.D
Day 10: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
after an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide; enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure. The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular. The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. In the evening, you will visit Batwa community and later retire at your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge. B.L.D
Day 11: Bwindi- Kampala (9Hrs)
This morning, end your stay in the “Land of the Mountain Gorillas” and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. Depending on your flight schedule, our guide will take on a shopping spree in some of the many African crafts in Kampala and later drop you off to the airport in time for your flight back. B.L
