Uganda Gorillas and Wildlife
This safari gorilla wildlife safari takes you to Uganda’s premium national parks, Bwindi impenetrable forest home to the mountain gorillas and pygmies as well as Queen Elizabeth National Park famous for tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffalos, as well as Kazinga Channel
Day 1: Arrival –Transfer to your hotel
Meeting at Entebbe international airport and transfer to hotel in Entebbe. After checking in the hotel, our guide will brief you about the whole safari adventure and later retire for Overnight at 2Friends Hotel. B.B
Day 2: Kampala- Bwindi Impenetrable (9-10hrs)
Early morning departure will hope to be at 6:00hrs with stopovers at the Equator for photographic experience. Lunch will be in Mbarara arriving late in the evening. Check in the hotel and relax for gorilla trekking experience the following day. Dinner and Overnight at Engagi Lodge. B.L.D
Day 3: Gorilla Trekking & Batwa community walk
In the morning, our guide will walk to the briefing point. Rally behind the ranger as he briefs you about the dos and don’ts while you meet with the Mountain gorillas. Enter the forest with the armed rangers and when you meet the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience!
In the evening, you will enjoy the Batwa Trail, a firsthand introduction to one of the most unique cultures worldwide. The Batwa pygmies are a forest people displaced from the rain forest they shared with mountain gorillas. This experience will give you the opportunity to learn more about their age old culture while you enjoy a hike with the Batwa guides, see how they lived and hunted, hear ancient legends and learn about medical plants. The revenue generated from these activities directly benefits the Batwa to strengthen their community. Dinner and Overnight at Engagi Lodge. B.L.D
Day 4: Bwindi –Queen Elizabeth national park (5hrs)
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the famous park for
the big game –
- elephants,
- tree-climbing lions and
- leopards which are the main attractions
and for its great scenery beauty.
Through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth you will have a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, check in your lodge and in the evening, enjoy an evening game. Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. B.L.D
Day 5: Game and Boat Cruise – Queen Elizabeth
Depart after your morning breakfast for a game at Queen Elizabeth National Park. The Park’s diverse Eco-system of grassy plains, tropical forest, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters is home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.
The park is a home to
- lion,
- leopard,
- giant forest hog,
- Cape buffalo,
- elephants,
- waterbuck,
- Uganda Kob,
- Topi and
- bush buck.
Then later proceed for an afternoon boat-cruise that offers an excellent platform for photography and game viewing. The birdlife is colorful and abundant. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. B.L.D
Day 6: Queen Elizabeth national park (7hrs)
Being your last day at the Queen Elizabeth National Park, you can either choose to go for an early Morning balloon trip which is usually very outstanding way of seeing the Savannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast alternatively you could opt for an early morning chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura gorge before being transferred to Kampala.
