A day with Uganda’s gorillas
Uganda has two major parks Mgahinga National park and Bwindi impenetrable National park which are commonly known for gorilla experience in Uganda. Spending a day with gorillas in Uganda is a special experience that many people dream of. The adventure takes place in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, where the mountain gorillas live.
The day begins early in the morning with a briefing at the park offices. Tourists are told the rules of visiting the gorillas, such as keeping a distance, not making noise, and avoiding flash photography. After this, the trek starts. Walking through the thick forest is exciting because you can see monkeys, birds, butterflies, and many plants along the way.
The most amazing part is when you finally meet the gorillas. Visitors are allowed to spend one hour watching them. You can see the strong silverback protecting the group, mothers caring for their young ones, and playful baby gorillas climbing trees. Their behavior is so human-like that it feels like meeting close relatives.
After the visit, tourists hike back to the park offices, where they receive certificates for completing the trek. The rest of the day can be spent relaxing at the lodge or interacting with the local communities around the park.
