Day 1: Arrival and transfer to – Volcanoes National Park

Today you will meet our highly skilled safari guide from 1000 Shades of Green who will welcome you and lead this 3-day Safari. In case you arrive early, we shall have a Kigali City Tour, else he will drive you Volcanoes National Park found in the northern part of the country. This park is home to over 300 of the 800 mountain gorillas remaining in the entire world. You will dine and spend the night at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge-B.L.D

Day 2: Mountain Trekking Gorillas – Volcanoes Park

After breakfast, we shall transfer to the park headquarters early in the morning where we shall be briefed and assigned park ranger and guides who will lead us on the search for mountain gorillas in the park.  From here, led by armed park rangers and highly knowledgeable guides, we shall start trekking through the forest searching for the gorillas. Normally this may take 1-6 hours before we eventually meet these large animals. We shall be allowed an hour in their presence, observing them and taking photographs as they feed, play and cater to one another. Afterward, we shall return to our lodge and rest before setting out for another cultural adventure at (CULTURAL VILLAGE IBYIWACU) before retiring at the lodge for Dinner and overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge-B.L.D –

Day 3: Departure

This is the final day of our 3-day safari in Rwanda; we shall enjoy a nice breakfast at our lodge, and begin the journey back to the capital Kigali. Along the way, we shall make a number of stopovers to admire the beautiful rolling terrain of Rwanda – the Land of a Thousand Hills and do some souvenir shopping. on arrival in Kigali, we shall have a city tour in the capital and visit the genocide memorial sites before being transferred to the airport for your departure flight.

Day 1: Arrival

Our representative will pick you up from your from the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kigali for Overnight at Hotel Chez Lando. BB

Day 2: Kigali – Nyungwe Forest

After breakfast, you will visit the National Museum of Butare and the genocide memorial of Murambi. Nyanza was the headquarters of the ancient Rwanda Kingdom before the arrival of the Europeans. The compound has the modern palace constructed by King Mutara in 1934. It is tastefully decorated with traditional mats and utensils. The Butare Museum is reputed to be the best ethnographical Museum in East Africa. It is the home of the national ballet-Intore dancers. Have lunch at Butare and proceed to Murambi genocide memorial. Overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge. B.L.D

Day 3: Hiking & Nature Walks

After breakfast enters Nyungwe forest to track the Colobus monkey. A walk in the forest is a whole learning experience conducted by knowledgeable guides well versed in botany, ornithology and interspecies relationship in this forest. Thereafter, return to your lodge for lunch. Overnight at Nyungwe Forest Lodge. B.L.D

Day 4: Nyungwe – Kibuye

After breakfast, enter Nyungwe forest (07:00) to track people’s closest relatives, the chimpanzees. Thereafter return to the lodge for lunch followed by a drive to Kibuye. Overnight at Comoran Lodge. B.L.D

Day 5: Kibuye-Kinigi

After breakfast, drive to Gisenyi and finally to Kinigi. The drive Kibuye-Gisenyi is via the most beautiful providing spectacular views of the tea-growing country of Gisovu and Kayove. Brief stops are provided for photography. A four hours drive takes to Gisenyi for lunch and a brief city tour. Thereafter drive for two hours to Ruhengeri and finally Kinigi the base of gorilla tracking. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. B.L.D

Day 6: Gorillas Trekking

Early morning breakfast followed by a scenic drive to the park headquarters for group, guide allocation and briefing. This is followed by a drive to the trailheads where hiking and trekking up the hills to the bamboo zone begins. Hiking, trekking and tracking gorillas may take 2-4 hours. Sight and stay with the Gorillas for one hour. Descend to your hotel for lunch. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge. B.L.D

Day 7: 2nd Gorilla Trekking.

After breakfast, trek the mountains for another unforgettable experience with the gorillas. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon drive to Kigali. Overnight at Hotel Des Mille Collines.B.L.D

Day 8: Airport Transfer & Departure

After breakfast, enjoy Kigali city tour and later in the afternoon transfer to Kigali international airport for your home flight.

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali

Day 2: Kigali City tour, transfer to Volcanoes Park

Today morning, you will have an early city tour in Kigali during which you will visit the national museum and the genocide memorial among several other fascinating tourist sites. You will have lunch and after begin on a drive through the beautiful terraced hills as you head to Volcanoes national park which is home to the highly endangered mountain gorillas. After checking into your accommodation, you will visit one of the nearby Banyarwanda communities who will entertain you with enjoyable cultural songs and dances. Day 3: Gorilla tracking and Nature walk

Very early morning you will assemble at the park headquarters and be briefed by the park before you begin on this memorable gorilla tracking expedition which will take between 2 and 6 hours in the forested Park. You will spend a maximum of one hour with the gorillas taking photographs and observing them. Later return to your lodge and relax before visiting the twin lakes during a nature walk. Day 4: Hike to Dian Fossey Grave, Departure

Today morning, you will go set out in the company of a guide and hike to Dian Fossey’s grave. Dian was an American primatologist that dedicated her life to researching the gorillas of Rwanda, and also played a big role in ensuring that this endangered species is conserved. Unfortunately, it’s said that she was murdered by poachers and later buried next to her favorite gorilla Digit in this park. Later on, you will return to Kigali and depending on your flight time, you may have a short tour in the city before transferring to the airport.

Day 1: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

Today morning our guide will transfer you to Nyungwe National Park home of the chimpanzees in Rwanda. Along the way you will make stopovers to visit the king’s palace in Nyanza, Butare national museum and the Murambi genocide memorial site. Dine and spend the night at Nyungwe Forest Lodge. B.L.D- 

Day 2: Chimpanzee Tracking

In the morning you will have an early breakfast and then transfer to the headquarters of the park where you will be briefed by the park warden about the guidelines to follow while tracking chimpanzees. You will then head to the trailhead and then in the company of experienced guides start searching for the chimps. Some of the other primates you may see include:  vervet monkeys, black-and-white Colobus monkeys and baboons. Later head back to the lodge to relax; dine and spend the night at Nyungwe Forest Lodge. Day 3: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park

After breakfast, you will set out on a lengthy scenic drive to the renowned Volcanoes national park in northwestern Rwanda. Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge-B.L.D  

Day 4: Enjoy the Gorilla Trekking Expedition

In the morning you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing by the park ranger before starting on this very enjoyable gorilla trekking expedition that takes between 1 and 8 hours. Once you find them you will spend at most an hour observing at taking photos of them; it’s a very memorable encounter! You will afterward return to your lodge and relax after that long tracking. Day 5: Return to Kigali, Departure

After your breakfast our guide will drive you back to the capital city and if time allows you may visit the Gisozi genocide memorial site before transferring to the airport to catch your departure flight.

Day 2: Bisoke Hike

You will wake up very early today and by 7:30am converge at the headquarters of the park where you while be briefed about the hiking adventure and then begin the hike led by a park ranger. In addition, you will be availed with 2 porters who will assist carry your backpack (in case you have any) as well as support you as you traverse the slippery forest paths.  This thrilling hike takes 2-4 hours to reach the peak and then 2 hours descending. In the evening you will visit Dian Fossey Tomb and later return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge-B.L.D 

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking- Departure

Today morning, we shall return to the headquarters of the park as we prepare to track mountain gorillas. We shall be briefed about this amazing activity and detailed about the guidelines to follow, and be assigned park rangers who will lead us on the gorilla trek. You will be assigned a gorilla family to track basing on your physical ability. We you find the gorillas you will be allowed to spend one hour with them as you take photographs and observe them. After gorilla tracking, we shall transfer back to the capital Kigali and head to the airport for your departure flight. B.L

Day 1: Arrival at the Airport in Kigali

Day 2: Morning Kigali City Tour, Transfer to Volcanoes Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a Kigali City Tour and visit among other places the national museum and the genocide memorial site. In the afternoon after lunch, you will set off on a scenic drive to Volcanoes national park, habitat to the highly endangered mountain gorillas.

Day 3: Gorilla Tracking and Nature Walk

Early morning you will be briefed by the park ranger at the park headquarters about the tracking guidelines, and then set out with other trekkers led by an experienced guide into the forest as you look for them. On finding the mountain gorillas, you will spend at most an hour observing at taking photos of them. Afterward, return to your lodge and relax. Later on in the evening, you there will be an optional cultural walk to the adjacent village community where you will be amazingly entertained by the local people, or take a nature walk to the caves and lakes nearby. Day 4: Dian Fossey Hike and transfer to Lake Kivu

Today after breakfast, you will hike to the Karisoke research center which was established by Dian Fossey. There you will learn more about the various activities that Dian Fossey did in a bid to conserve the mountain gorillas. After lunch you will drive on you to Lake Kivu. Dinner and Overnight at Lake Kivu Lodge. B.L.D

Day 5: Transfer to Nyungwe National Park

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and begin on the drive to Nyungwe National Park. You will stopover for lunch along the way and also take photographs of the beautiful scenery. Dine and spend the night at Nyungwe Forest Lodge. B.L.D

Day 6: Chimpanzee Tracking, Cultural Visits, Departure

Early morning you will head to the park headquarters where you will be briefed and then head into the forest where you will track chimpanzees and see some other primates like vervet monkey. Afterward, you will drive back to the capital Kigali with visits to several sites along the way such as the Murambi Genocide Memorial Site, Nyanza King’s Palace and Butare Museums. Day 5: Kibuye- Musanze

Day 1:  Jkia – Nairobi Hotel

Day 2:  Nairobi – Masai Mara

Depart and drive to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya’s finest and best-known game reserve, arriving for lunch at your Camp.  Sarova Mara Game Camp has 75 tents and is located in the world-renowned Masai Mara; home to the greatest game show on earth – the Wildebeest Migration

Day 3: Masai Mara Reserve 
Optional – Hot Air Balloon ride and mid-day visit to the Local Village
The BALLOON SAFARI adventure begins in the pre-dawn hours. The magnificent view of the park is thrilling. Towards the end of the safari, you rise to a height of 1500 feet for a panoramic view of the twisting Mara River and the savanna below. After an hour or so in the air, your safari finishes with a flourish: a champagne breakfast in the bush, cooked on the balloon’s burners. Full days in the Mara with morning and afternoon game drives provided – option of leaving with picnic lunches for a full day game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Mara Camp. Day 4: Mara – Elementaita
After breakfast and clearance of bills if any, check out, depart have an en-route game drive back to main gate and drive to Nakuru National Park, check in and lunch. Nestled along the Lion Hill overlooking the spectacular flamingo pink rimmed Lake Nakuru. Its location affords panoramic views of the lake and the picturesque Lake Nakuru National Park. A short two-hour drive from Nairobi, Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge is a favorite with residents and visitors to Kenya, is cleverly laid out in such a way that most rooms and sitting areas afford stunning views of the lake and the park. The Lodge incorporates natural landscaping with tall acacia trees, winding walkways and greens dotted with bird feeds. Day 5: Lake Nakuru
Full day in Nakuru with morning and afternoon game drives provided.  Lake Nakuru is renowned for large concentrations of flamingos and is also a sanctuary for the endangered black and white rhinos. This reserve has one of the highest densities of wildlife to be found on the continent and our chance of spotting lion, leopard, cheetah, elephant, and buffalo is excellent during an afternoon game drive. Dinner and Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. Day 6: Nakuru – Uganda 
Breakfast at your Lodge depart and drive to Nakuru Town to wait for Nairobi – Kampala bus (Cost to be provided closer to travel date). The bus departs at around 9:00 PM at night and you will arrive in Uganda early morning the following day. Optional: A flight from Nairobi to Uganda can be arranged upon request.

Day 7: Arrival –Transfer to your hotel
Our guide will meet you at Kampala Bus station or Entebbe international airport and transfer you to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe .B.B
Day 8: Rest Day

Day 9: Kampala-Bwindi (9Hrs)
An early morning start from Kampala takes you southwest and across the Equator. You drive through savannah grasslands seeing banana plantations and herds of Ankole cattle with their incredibly long curving horns. You then ascend into the Kigezi highlands, known as the “Switzerland of Africa”, with terraced farming and mountain scenery. Drive to Bwindi arriving late in the evening. Day 10: Gorilla Trekking Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

after an early breakfast and a briefing by a ranger guide; enter the gorilla sanctuary for your adventure.  The beauty of this rain forest is spectacular.  The area offers dramatic steeply forested landscape and is incredibly dense, but crisscrossed by numerous animal trails allowing access to tourists. The time taken and the terrain vary with the movements of these great primates. The thrill of spending time observing these gentle and endangered giants is an awesome, exciting experience to be long savored. In the evening, you will visit Batwa community and later retire at your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge. B.L.D

Day 11: Bwindi- Kampala (9Hrs)
This morning, end your stay in the “Land of the Mountain Gorillas” and depart with great memories of the moments spent with the fascinating Mountain Gorillas. Transfer back to Kampala with lunch en-route. Depending on your flight schedule, our guide will take on a shopping spree in some of the many African crafts in Kampala and later drop you off to the airport in time for your flight back. B.L

Day-3: Game and Boat Lunch – Queen Elizabeth National Park 

A misty morning in the shadow of the great Mountains of the Moon – commence the day with a morning game drive return at the lodge for a lunch Break at Mweya Safari Lodge. At 1500hrs take a boat-ride on Kazinga channel; a 33km long stretch that links L. George to L. Edward. The channel has arguably the highest concentration of Hippos in the world. Day 4: Queen Elizabeth- Bwindi National park

 
Have breakfast at 06:30hrs, and our driver will drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest. On the way you will stop at the Ishasha sector of Bwindi in search of the Tree-Climbing Lions. You will continue to Bwindi with packed lunch, arrive in the evenings, check in at Chameleon Hill Lodge, and relax for the biggest gorilla adventure the following day. Day – 5 Gorilla Trekking

Wake up at the sound of the rooster, have breakfast and with packed lunch, our guide will drive you to Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing point. Attend a briefing session by the ranger-guide and later penetrate the mountain gorilla sanctuary. The duration of gorilla tracking in Uganda shall be determined by where the great apes spent the previous night and maximum time allowed with them is strictly one hour. Day-6 Bwindi Impenetrable Forest-Lake Mburo National Park

Last moments in the Land of the Mountain Gorillas and drive back to Lake Mburo National park. Arrive in the afternoon; check-in your lodge, and later enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo followed by a short sunset game-drive. Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Lodge- B.L.D

Day-7: Lake Mburo – Entebbe

Today, accompanied by an armed Ranger, take a morning safari walk, breakfast, and an en-route game-drive as you exit the Park. Arrive in Kampala in time for lunch and depending on your flight schedule, you will join our guide for a shopping spree in one of Kampala’s famous craft villages. Later you will be transferred to Entebbe International airport in time for your flight back home.

Day 1: Arrival –Transfer to your hotel

Our guide will meet you at Entebbe international airport and transfer you at Protea Hotel in Entebbe. B.B

Day 2: Kampala- Lake Mburo (4hrs) 

Transfer after breakfast to Lake Mburo National Reserve with the stopover at the Equator. The park offers unique vistas of rounded, 50Km-long wetland system linked by a swamp and undulating open savanna home to a wide variety of animal and birdlife of over 350 species of bird. Game viewing and visibility is excellent: Giraffe, Zebra, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, lion, leopard, and hyena. Arrive in time for your hot lunch. An afternoon boat-cruise, followed by an early evening game drive. Retire at your lodge for the rest of the evening. Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Lodge. B.L.D

Day 3: Lake Mburo – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest (6-8 hrs.)

Enjoy your early morning breakfast at Lake Mburo. Depart after your morning breakfast for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest with lunch en-route at Kabale. Check in and relax at your hotel for another adventurous gorilla trekking & Batwa cultural tour the following day. Dinner and Overnight at Clouds Lodge. B.L.D

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking and pygmy tour  

With parked lunch, you will drive to the briefing point. Listen to the ranger as he briefs you about the dos and don’ts while with the mountain gorillas. Penetrate through the impenetrable Bwindi with the rangers and when you meet the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. In the evening, you will enjoy the Batwa Trail, a firsthand introduction to one of the most unique cultures worldwide. The revenue generated from these activities directly benefits the Batwa to strengthen their community. Dinner and Overnight at Clouds Lodge. B.L.D

Day 5: Bwindi- Queen Elizabeth national park (5hrs)

Depart after breakfast for Queen Elizabeth National Park via the Ishasha sector for a chance to see the famous tree-climbing lions. Arrive at the lodge in the afternoon, check in your lodge before heading out for our evening game drive. Return to the lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge. B.L.D

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth –Kampala (6hrs)

Being your last day at the Queen Elizabeth National Park, you can either choose to go for an early Morning balloon trip which is usually very outstanding way of seeing the Savannah plains and the wildlife after which you come back down for a beautiful champagne breakfast alternatively you could opt for an early morning chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura gorge before being transferred to Kampala.
