Kibera Girls Soccer Academy

Kibera Girls Soccer Academy (KGSA) is a community-based organization that provides free education, artistic programming, and athletic opportunities to over 120 girls annually who live in the Kibera slums of Nairobi, Kenya.

We firmly believe that through active participation in education, the arts, and athletics, our students will have the opportunity to develop a stronger confidence in their minds, bodies, and spirits – empowering them to become inspiring leaders in their own communities and country, as they advocate for a brighter Kibera and Kenya.

1000 Shades of Green Tour and Safari Company and the KGSA Foundation have partnered together to form a unique relationship strengthening each organization. For every time someone is referred to 1000 Shades of Green from the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy Foundation, 40% of the profit from that safari will be allocated to the Kibera Girls Soccer Academy.

If you or someone you know is traveling to East Africa and is interested in tracking the elusive mountain gorilla through Bwindi impenetrable forest, the Volcanoes in Rwanda, trekking the heights of the “Mountains of the moon”, tracking the great migration through Masai Mara or relaxing at an exotic beach in Mombasa, 1000 shades of Green Tour and Safari Company guarantees a well organized and executed tour and safari experience and this time, you can put your money to a good cause!

Come volunteer your time and energy while making a meaningful connection and a strong impact in the Kibera community.
