Local food Markets: You will visit the local / indigenous communities in Ntanda 30 minutes away from Kampala. Along the way, your guide will entertain and educate you with stories and insights into Uganda’s culture and history, while exploring local communities in the most fascinating way. You will harvest food from the various choices in the local gardens. Popular dishes include matooke (a staple made from bananas), millet bread, cassava (tapioca or manioc), sweet potatoes, chicken and beef stews, and freshwater fish. Other foods include, yams, corn, cabbage, pumpkin, tomatoes, millet, peas, sorghum, beans, groundnuts (peanuts), goat meat, and milk, ranges, papayas, lemons, and pineapples and so many others.

Make your own lunch or dinner: Skip the restaurant and join us for a special evening and cook your own Ugandan dish inner with our professionals. Our professional chefs will teach you how to lovingly prepare various traditional Ugandan meals of our choice using local, seasonal ingredients.
