Bwindi impenetrable national Park

The park covers about 331 square kilometers of thick tropical rain forest and is known for its beautiful scenery, steep hills, and dense vegetation — which is why it is called “Impenetrable.”
Bwindi is best known for being home to more than half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. It is one of the only places where visitors can go gorilla trekking and see these gentle giants up close in their natural environment.
The park was established in 1991 and later became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994 because of its rich biodiversity. Apart from gorillas, Bwindi also has over 120 species of mammals, 350 bird species, and many types of butterflies and plants.

Mgahinga National Park
